Read the care label before the first wash
The first wash can permanently change a garment. Check water temperature, drying method, bleach warnings, and ironing limits before cleaning.
Use a simple test
Start with the garment's label and the conditions in which you will actually wear it. Check fit, movement, care needs, weather, and what is already in your wardrobe. Change one factor at a time so the result is clear.
Before you commit
- Read fiber and care labels.
- Try the garment with two pieces you own.
- Check comfort while walking and sitting.
- Estimate how often the item will be worn.
