Use written care instructions as the source of truth
Care labels can combine symbols and words. Read the full current label and follow the most specific instruction rather than guessing from fiber type or relying on an old product page.
Start with the actual routine
Consider where the garment is worn, the weather exposure, and the cleaning process it requires. A good recommendation survives use outside a product photo.
Check objective information
Use the current textile label for fiber and care information, and the current forecast for weather. Marketing names do not replace those sources.
Make the tradeoff visible
Compare comfort, maintenance, durability, layering room, and repeat-wear potential before deciding.
